Since 1989, Hispanic UMADAOP has existed to empower the Hispanic/Latino community to reduce the negative impacts of HIV/AIDS, violence, and abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs through culturally sensitive, holistic prevention, education, intervention, treatment and re-entry programs.

Hispanic UMADAOP is as a strong, independent community resource in serving all people of the Greater Cleveland, Hispanic/Latino, and other minority populations through various community collaborations aimed at empowering the population served with positive outcomes for individuals, families, and the community.

Our Services


The Prevention Programs are particularly designed and targeted to serve the Hispanic/Latino youth residing in the near west side Cleveland community.  The programs are delivered by Prevention Education Specialists in a culturally and linguistically competent approach.  Program services are provided within an in-school and out-of-school settings utilizing evidence-based practice models. 

Miguel Prieto Treatment Services

Clients in all programs are drug tested randomly throughout the week. Bus passes are provided to clients in outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care in need of transportation.

Outpatient– Clients complete 12 weeks of one 1.5 hour group session weekly and receive individual counseling sessions, substance use disorder case management, crisis intervention.

Intensive Outpatient– Clients complete 6 weeks of three 3-hour group sessions weekly. Other services include substance use disorder case management, crisis intervention, individual counseling, family sessions, and encouragement for participation in AA/NA support groups.

Casa ALMA / Casa Maria Residential Treatment— Clients complete a minimum of 30 days of residential treatment. Services include but are not limited to substance use disorder case management, crisis intervention,                individual counseling, family sessions, and participation in AA/NA support groups.
